Dear Mum, Dad and Miss Hinds,

For maths week 7, we had a range of games. I chose 2 games from 2 categories that I was comfortable with but thought I could get better at. The first one I played was an angle and protractor game. You had to measure the angle accurately with the protractor given, and then write the exact angle in a box. I learnt how to use a protractor accurately. The last game I played was a  shapes game. You had a whole range of different shapes, and you had to divide them up into categories. I learnt names of different shapes like scalene and equilateral and stuff. Look at the top of  this post for a screenshot called shapes and categories.

Data and Graphs gamaes

Dear Mum, Dad and Miss Hinds,

For maths, we had a range of websites that were maths graph games, and we had to play each one. So I have taken some screenshots, and to look at the screenshots, click on the link at the top of this post.

For the first game, we had to interpret bar graphs, and answer some questions according to the bar graph. In that game, I didn’t really learn one specific thing, but that game helped me to get a better understanding of graphs, how to answer questions from the data in a graph, and to basically see if I was good at maths or not.

 

In the second game, I had a whole range of questions and data, and I had to choose the correct graph that would best represent the data and information. In that game, it helped me to understand how to represent specific questions in a specific graph.
